Subject: National Lottery Heritage Fund - Survey (Closing 5th September 2022)

We have recently launched an opportunity for people and organisations to influence how we invest our annual £300/350million and I’m keen we hear from those working in the environmental sector.

For the last four years investing in landscapes and nature has been a key strategic funding priority and we are now asking stakeholders and the public what our priorities should be for the years ahead. On average around 25% of our investment since 1996 has been invested in supporting landscape, marine and nature projects, so on that basis we might be investing anywhere between £600m to £800m in this sector depending on the outcome of this current review.

Whilst the museums and built heritage sectors are very good at responding, the environmental sector tends to be smaller and quieter. I wondered therefore if there is any chance your organisation might be able to promote this ‘have you say’ opportunity to your membership, as well as to staff and other associates?

Below are links to two online surveys, both of which close on 5 September 2022. The first is a survey aimed at organisations and the second is a shorter public survey for individuals so please feel free to share that with staff, volunteers or friends.

Please help us to make the very best use of National Lottery Good Causes funding going forward. If you have any questions please drop me an email.
